They say you can’t go back, but for Tina McCoy, going home after 15 years turned out to be everything she could have wanted. Home Again, Home Again by Nadine Christian is a touching story about a young woman from an isolated spot - Pitcairn Island – who leaves for school and a chance at a better life at 15. Tina was torn from her boyfriend Connor who, with pressure from her father, put aside his feelings to reject Tina, forcing her to follow her father’s wishes. Now, with the revitalization of the island and its economy, Tina returns home as an aircraft engineer. Attracted to the dashing pilot, Blane, and afraid of being rejected by Connor like in the past, Tina tries to move ahead with her life, hopefully finding love, building her own home, and remaining a permanent part of island life. With the help of her brother and other friends, Tina weathers the sudden death of her mother and Blane’s lies, and realizes what she has been looking for all along is right in front of her.

Great characters and colorful island dialogue create an engaging story in Home Again, Home Again. Christian’s sincere feeling for the island and its lifestyle shows clearly through the entire book as Tina McCoy deals with memories from her youth and the demands on a grown woman. Rich action and realistic emotions tell the story poignantly and keep the pages turning. This is another great book in The Bounty’s Retreat series and well worth reading.
