How to Save Your Inner Wonder Woman - A Guide to Help Caregivers and Allies of Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse Using Wonder Woman by Kenneth Rogers Jr is a handy manual written with the intention of helping professional caregivers and allies of survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This guide is not about Wonder Woman but uses it as a metaphor of boundless compassion to assist in understanding the challenges and difficulties of dealing with survivors of sexual abuse and helping them heal from it. The author, who is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, speaks about how his experience has given him a unique perspective to understand the effects of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) and childhood sexual abuse. The book is not limited to the messages and resources given to caregivers, first responders, partners, spouses, and loved ones of male survivors but also males and female survivors of sexual abuse.

Kenneth Rogers Jr gives a lot of insights on the topic and also encourages caregivers to practice self-care as they can also suffer from depression, and get overwhelmed due to the nature of the job. How to Save Your Inner Wonder Woman is the best way to understand the healing process and the role of caregivers when it comes to helping the survivor recover along with keeping their mental health intact. It also helps in setting healthy boundaries so that the possibilities of secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue are much less. Reading this book is also a good way for many readers involved in caregiving to survivors of childhood sexual abuse to realize that they are not Wonder Woman, and they too are humans with needs, wants, desires, and lives of their own.
