Societal expectations and external pressures can sometimes throw a wrench into life's trajectory and stop us from fulfilling our innermost potential. According to Peter Ash, outside distractions sap our energy and take our focus away from the things that matter most to us. With this illuminating book, Humble, Ash offers a fresh approach to living a life filled with meaning and purpose, using humility as a tool to negate the ego and find the right balance in our lives with our authentic selves. The author urges readers to accept our abilities and limitations, strengths and weaknesses, empathize with others and their needs, foster healthy relationships with openness and compassion, and be vulnerable yet confident. The book also showcases the correlation between ego and narcissism and how this affects our lives, the consequences of ego-driven behaviors, and much more.

Humble is a thought-provoking book that provides some valuable insights into navigating life, including how to build self-esteem, the benefits and challenges associated with social media, how it affects our worldview, using humility in work and leadership positions, etc. Peter Ash emphasizes the need to find one's true values and insists that practicing humility is, at its core, about pursuing truth. The author presents the subject matter with a keen eye for detail in a very accessible writing style, which will appeal to a wide range of readers. The humble approach to life is easy to grasp, but more importantly, it's practically applicable to our everyday lives. Ash's prose is concise, making for an absorbing read. Overall, I found the book very educational and inspirational, and I feel it's a must-read for our times. Highly recommended.
