Author Biography

Scott and Emma are a father/daughter, writer/illustrator team. This first book was inspired by a favorite hike on the Appalachian Trail. As they passed a hollow tree, Emma asked aloud, "I wonder who lives in that tree?" Scott's answer: "Hey, that sounds like a book title." Several off-the-cuff rhymes later, their book was underway. When not writing or illustrating, they (along with the rest of their clan) love to hike, camp, paddle or generally move about outdoors, in the mountains especially, where they find no shortage of inspiration.

I Wonder Who Lives In That Tree by Scott Bryan and Emma Bryan presents young readers with a significant question to answer right away: who lives in that tree? Little insects such as a colony of ants and large creatures such as opossums or raccoons are depicted as living in that location, but who is the genuine owner of the tree? This picture book will undoubtedly captivate adults and children alike with stunning graphics, witty rhymes, and a well-placed surprise at the conclusion, as well as inspire everyone to go outside, look at what nature has to offer, and enjoy the adventure!

I Wonder Who Lives In That Tree offers young readers an enticing adventure to discover what or who lives inside the tree. Be prepared to be startled by the finale. I appreciate how well-written each verse is because most young children adore rhyming stories, and I believe youngsters would enjoy this book again and again. The illustrations are unique and I couldn't stop admiring the artwork's awe-inspiring beauty. It demonstrates the amount of labor necessary, and the details make the images interesting! This book achieves its purpose of instilling curiosity in youngsters about animals in nature and the environment. Scott Bryan and Emma Bryan have done an outstanding job of filling this book with every positive emotion they intended to convey. I can't think of a better book to give kids for birthdays or special occasions so they may enjoy it with their parents.
