Intent by Krista Wagner is a Christian thriller suspense novel. Raylee Johnson, the only child of a small town pastor, still lives at home with her parents. Even though she graduated from high school four years ago, Raylee is still working for her Aunt Kim in her restaurant. She believes herself to be a failure and the roots of her self-deprecating attitude revert back to high school. Raylee was not popular in school, and the popular girls tormented her. The only positive people in high school were Paul, her best friend, and her crush, Billy, the high school quarterback. Out of the blue, Billy and her high school nemesis, Crystal, show up at her aunt's restaurant. Strangely, both wanted to get together with her. Confused and ecstatic, Raylee plans an outing with Billy. Paul has always been there for her and is happy that she is happy. He just doesn't understand why the two people who made Raylee so miserable have changed their manner toward her now. Paul advises her to exercise a little caution in forming any relationships with them. However, before Raylee could go out on a date with Billy, her parents are killed in a car accident.

Intent by Krista Wagner is a suspense thriller replete with murder, lies and treachery. Those three depravities are the combination for a perfect storm. Raylee, terrified of storms, is the victim of the worst kind. She experiences the loss of loved ones through the evil corruption of someone she cares for and believes in. Although the death of her parents and the loss of her faith is deeply painful, it is a turning point for Raylee. Separated from her faith and her parents' babying, Raylee faces her fears head on and finds her self-worth. It is refreshing and a nice change to see a character grow so much in the course of a thrilling novel. This story is very well-written and has a good plot and storyline. Nicely done! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a suspense thriller with Christian faith thrown in.

Honest review read to the end. I actually enjoyed reading the book at first I was skeptical at first having to read another professors book. But strangely enough after after being reluctant to reading it till absolutely nessesary , me being procrastinator and I am and once you get past the build up stage of the book it it flows till the end without realising your almost finished or wanting to find out what is going to happen next. I would recommend this book to read.
