Into Justin's World, by Heather Lyn Davis is a beautiful picture book for young children. The story is based on a young boy named Justin who is a little different from the rest of his family. Justin loves cats, his dog, and his lizard, whilst his Mom, Dad, and sister all enjoy going on walks, in all kinds of weather! They love to swim in the lake in summer and to feel the cool breeze in autumn, but Justin doesn't like any of it; it just makes him upset. One snowy day, out on their usual walk, Justin's family tries to get him to join in on the fun one last time. Whilst his family sits and enjoys their yummy snacks before heading home, Justin is intrigued by something in the river. To his surprise, it's a talking fish! The fish makes Justin feel stronger and he isn't scared anymore, and he invites Justin on an adventure. Will he accept the fish's kind offer? Find out in Into Justin's World!

Into Justin's World is an adorable book with a beautiful storyline. I love that the author Heather Lyn Davis created a character with special needs because it's important to educate children on accepting people as they are, no matter their differences. I also love the aspect of showing what it's like inside Justin's head; he drifts away from reality and goes off on an adventure of his own. The illustrations by Corryn Webb are creative and fit perfectly with the story, and the dialogue is told through rhyming, which will attract young readers from the very first page. I loved every second I spent reading this wonderful book and I hope Heather Lyn Davis continues to write more educational content for young children.

Justin’s family likes going for walks in the woods, but Justin doesn’t like it. The wind is too loud, the rain is too cold and he doesn’t like the water. He tags along anyway, begrudgingly, afraid of everything he sees, hears, and feels. And then one day something changes. A new friend, a fish, invites him on an adventure in the frozen magical river. Justin sees all kinds of creatures and shows no fear of the water. Even though he’s never learned how to swim, he’s able to swim both above and below water. It’s a magical adventure, one that only Justin can have. Why? Because he has a wonderful, special imagination and he sees and feels the world differently from everyone else. But, then again, don’t we all?

Come join Justin as he learns to enjoy walks in the woods with his family. His mother, Heather Lyn Davis, tells his story, Into Justin’s World, in rhyming verse, adding a unique lyricism to a charming story. This is more than just Justin’s story: it’s an adventure that allows young readers to see things differently, to look through another person’s eyes. It’s also a story that encourages young readers to allow their imagination to give them courage so they can enjoy the world around them. The plot follows Justin’s walks in the woods, something he hates more than anything, until that day he finds something that fascinates him and allows him to see the woods and all that live in it from a completely different unique point of view. I love the illustrations: bright, bold, colorful and they certainly help move the story along. Beautifully told and presented.

Come with me and see the world through the eyes of a special boy named Justin. Justin sees the world differently from others within his family. At first he didn't like the nature walks that his family took either because it was too rainy in the spring, he didn't want to cool off and swim in the summer, the autumn air was too cold, and he despised the snowy winter. But one day all of this changed when he saw the bridge and met someone special that opened his eyes to a whole new world. In the enchanting and beautifully illustrated children's book, Into Justin's World, author Heather Lyn Davis and illustrator Corryn Webb have joined together to tell a story of imagination, rhyme, and magical adventures. Children will enjoy going along on a journey with Justin. During their formative years, just like Justin, children can learn a lot as they begin to explore with an open mind and allow themselves to enjoy the world as they embrace the experiences around them. Just like Justin, they can learn to experience and see things from another perspective if they give themselves and the differences a chance.

Into Justin's World by Heather Lyn Davis is beautiful in so many ways because the illustrations, story, and rhymes create, enhance, and strengthen cognitive abilities which are fundamental for a child's development. Children can also learn a lot through the gift of imagination because it helps to stimulate their creativity which expands the mind to embrace new ideas. Also with a new perspective, the things that Justin once disliked eventually became part of a world that he began to enjoy. If you're looking for a starter book or a book to get your child to enjoy reading, this book is ideal and a keeper. This book will be one of their favorites that they will read over and over again and want to share with their friends. Enjoy!
