Many people strive to attain personal goals and dreams in their lives, but often our past experiences inhibit us from achieving our destiny. In order to live the life of happiness and fulfillment that God intends for us all, we must first resolve our past traumatic memories. These may include frustration, hurt, rejection, or unworthiness and, if they are not faced head-on, can lead to continuous mental discouragement. Throughout his thirty years of work as a pastor, mentor, and teacher, Charlie Moody has discovered that God never likes to leave any negative experience unresolved. People often push these traumatic memories deep into their sub-consciousness but this is not a solution because they will eventually rise to the surface. Discover how you can face and resolve your deepest fears and past traumas so the path to the future is clear and uncluttered with negativity. Using his own personal journey and biblical passages, we learn that if we place our trust in God's timing, ask for his guidance and be aware of the signs when they appear, our lives will become full of joy, contentment, and abundance.

Into The Deep by Charlie Moody is an extremely inspiring and compelling read that resonated with me on every emotional level. Charlie's amazing personal journey is very relatable especially if you have lost your way and wish to reconnect with God. His outlook towards many of life's issues regarding painful past experiences and how we can heal from them was uplifting and soothing, knowing that God's main intention is for you to be happy and live a fulfilling life. His openness and honesty were admirable as he shares his innermost thoughts and past experiences with the reader. I was completely inspired to take action immediately to resolve my negative memories. I believe many people will associate with the feelings of frustration and anger at not reaching their goals immediately. There are many lessons I am going to take from this guide but the main one has to be to trust in God's timing and understand that although there may be detours, the end result will be truly amazing. This superb guide is filled with messages of hope and optimism and this particular quote touched me deeply: 'God wants us as believers to not be bound by our history but to live in light of our destiny.'

Into the Deep: Revisiting Past Strongholds for Healing and Deliverance by Charlie Moody offers spiritual reflection and receiving God’s blessing. This collection of profound personal stories will invite you to rebuild your recollection of and relationship with God. Every story in this book finds strength and renewal from its direct reference to inspiring biblical teachings that become a reflective process of personal transformation. The main point of this book is that while basic human problems are eternal, God always helps to provide the solution if you know where and how to look, and the actual accounts in this book stand as testaments to the validity of God’s grace. Following Christ in achieving happiness and looking back to the past to strengthen us is an invitation that anyone can understand.

Into the Deep guides you in the practical application of understanding God’s role in your life. Moody places a strong emphasis on God’s grace as an active part of human existence and as a critical roadmap to help us navigate personal obstacles. The lessons in his personal walks with Christ are much needed today. Countless challenges in ever-changing social and cultural dynamics threaten to undermine the power of faith as an impetus for self-renewal. In embracing the realities presented in this book, you have to take a leap of faith to achieve the serenity required when you walk with God and when He carries you in times of trouble. For believers who have exhausted all means to find a solution to problems and are still searching, this book may provide the path to healing.

Based on the biblical passage about the miraculous catch of fish in Luke chapter 5, Into The Deep: Revisiting Past Strongholds For Healing and Deliverance by Charlie Moody puts forward profound perspectives. While this passage has been interpreted in other ways, Into the Deep explains how the miracle is also a representation of God’s will to reach deep into our lives and hearts and heal past hurt, frustration, anger, and failure. Through other biblical characters’ accounts and his life experiences, Moody shows how God intervened to complete or redeem unfulfilled and incomplete areas of their lives. Such areas include life detours, lost opportunities, times of hopelessness, and more. In one chapter, Moody recounts how God redirected his and his wife’s paths years later towards the direction He had intended for them to go initially.

In Into the Deep, Charlie Moody explains the topics with simplicity and clarity. The content is easily comprehensible and it is life-changing in many ways. It reflects on God’s personal character of healing and redeeming even past events and issues that we may have forgotten or suppressed. I loved reading Moody’s personal accounts. They show God’s interest in our personal lives. His accounts of experiencing God’s comfort, encouragement, and correction are deeply inspiring. His interpretation of scripture is also enlightening as he moves beyond the basic meanings to deeper, new revelations. His tone is also encouraging. Into the Deep messages are powerful. They are certain to inspire hope for anyone seeking healing or restoration regarding past incidences that remain unresolved.

Into The Deep: Revisiting Past Strongholds For Healing and Deliverance is a work of non-fiction in the Christian living, advice, and guidance sub-genres, and was penned by author Charlie Moody. As the title suggests, the work has a particular focus on healing, whether that be from deep emotional wounds of the past or from spiritual blockages that damage one’s faith. The author takes readers through their own life experiences to show how diligent faith in Jesus Christ can lead to greater expressions of personal freedom, and how to move past the traumas of times gone by and find a more fulfilling destiny in the future.

Author Charlie Moody has crafted an uplifting short work that really succeeds in touching the hearts and minds of its readers. It is clear from the friendly and approachable narration that the author has a wealth of experience in talking to, mentoring, and teaching others about the power of God, but this is put across very gently and never in a judgmental way. I enjoyed the openness of the writer on many personal topics and emotions, particularly in the areas of feelings of rejection and low self-worth, which are so relatable in the modern world more than ever. The work has a really natural organization and flow to it, taking readers through different darknesses and showing the rays of light and the power to fight negativity through faith. Overall, I would certainly recommend Into The Deep for Christian readers who want to deepen their faith and utilize the strength it can give them for the future.

Into the Deep: Revisiting Past Strongholds for Healing and Deliverance by Charlie Moody is a book about understanding where we have been deeply hurt and allowing God to heal those hurts and to set us free. It is not a secret that bad, negative, and emotionally and psychologically disturbing experiences can hold us back from living up to our full potential. In this book, the author shows readers how they can revisit their past hurts and traumas, reach deep into them, and allow Jesus to heal and restore them. It is a journey to painful places, lost opportunities, hopelessness, loss, and how to find healing and new life and strength from that journey with Christ in the holy spirit.

This book is sprinkled with scripture and the author uses his personal experiences to drive home messages to readers. I loved the way Charlie Moody brings the scriptures into the writing and the passage where Peter meets Jesus and He asks Peter to cast his nets into the sea after a fruitless day of fishing. It receives a fresh interpretation from the author. As I started reading this book, my own hurts and fears became clearer to me and the astonishing thing is that I did not feel afraid to look deep into them. This book is beautifully written and invites readers on a journey towards healing and empowerment. Into the Deep: Revisiting Past Strongholds for Healing and Deliverance proposes a sure path to inner freedom and life in fullness. A rare gift that is filled with light and wisdom. It will speak to many hearts.

The testimonies and commentaries presented in Into the Deep by Pastor Charlie Moody chronicle a life story that most of us can identify with. There are times of humiliation, defeat and depression but if we are willing to walk with Jesus “Into the Deep” He will see us through to the other side. These actual, true-to-life testimonies illustrate that we will not only make it through, but we will be stronger for it.
Some might be tempted to pass these miraculous events off with a dismissive “but he’s a Preacher”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus really is no respecter of persons, he doesn’t reserve “the deep things” for a chosen few. The whole point of this book is that the unsearchable wealth of the Kingdom is available to us all.
I found a portion of Chapter 6 to be particularly touching to me. In this chapter Pastor Moody describes a divisive, abusive environment that had developed on a church board to which he belonged. He found that the root of bitterness that pervaded the board was springing up in himself as well. But Jesus had other plans. In a spectacularly revelatory encounter, Holy Spirit first removed the bitterness springing up in Charlie’s life, then miraculously healed him and then used the entirety of the encounter to heal the church board. He ends the chapter with these words:
God absolutely loves to revisit those areas that matter most to His heart when we stray from them in favor of something of lesser importance. The reason such areas matter the most to His heart is because we matter most of all to Him. His genuine desire is that we would walk this life with His best, not His least. He remains always the God of “Never the less” but “Always the More.” He revisits those places to remind us not to settle for the less but always remember to have an expectation for His best. John 10:10 (New Jewish Translation) I have come that you might have life and that life in its fullest measure.

Charlie Moody’s book Into the Deep, is a valuable read. I read it not once, but twice! The personal stories the author shares are candid, amazing, relatable, and speak of God’s deep love for us. There is also another level to this book for those who dare to put more than a big toe into the deeper water. It is for those who would take the leap of faith towards a deeper walk with God in a search for healing and redemption of what may appear to have been lost. Pastor Moody gently encourages the reader to go beyond the big toe dip and dive into the presence of God through life’s journey including those experiences that caused pain and discouragement. He offers hope for redemption and healing. I can heartily recommend this book to the unbeliever searching for God in action, to the believer just making his way over the bumps in the road and to the mature believer who is willing to dive in and take a look back at life's tough spots in search of God’s heart for the purpose of healing and for “more God, more”. You will enjoy this one!

Great Book! I read the paperback version of this book and now own the e-book version. I want to keep it handy to review the words of hope (along with the bible, of course!) wherever I may be. Thank you, Charlie for opening up to us about your personal struggles from your past. It helps me know that I am not alone and can get through my deep places, too.

"Into the Deep," by Charlie Moody, takes you on a personal, spiritual and emotional journey. Charlie's relationship with Jesus is the most important highlight because we all need a relationship with Him — and we are, nothing, without God. This is also a great story of healing and deliverance that only One can bring — God Almighty! We may make plans in life, however, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord! I enjoyed reading this inspirational book about Charlie's life. And I believe that you will, too!

This book is thought-provoking and comforting. The author is very engaging and easy to identify with. He takes us through various trials and difficult times that he experienced but brings us through to “the rest of the story“ - how G-d does not leave us abandoned in hurt or desperate places. He brings us through to the other side, wiser, stronger, more complete and filled with hope. This book is encouraging, uplifting and draws us closer to the One who loves and created us. It helps to heal broken hearts and to hopefully see our loving, heavenly Father in new and special ways.
