Issac's List by Logan Carrington is the love story of Issac Reed and Brenna McConnell. Isaac Reed is madly in love with Brenna McConnell. She is scared to reciprocate her feelings because of her past. Isaac's neighbor, Mrs. Edie O'Malley, knows about his feelings for Brenna and is sympathetic towards him. She advises him to be persistent and woo Brenna. Isaac decides to play a game with Brenna and he is joined by Mrs. O'Malley, Jackson Bradley, and Mathew Broussard. The game goes according to Isaac's plans. Will Brenna be able to forget the demons of her past and fall in love with the handsome Isaac Reed.

It is a romantic story that will make you fall in love with the main characters, Isaac and Brenna. The author has developed the characters well, along with the plot. The other characters of Mathew, Edie, and Jackson also play an important role in this love story. The story has a twist in the form of Mathew, which gives that subtle nudge for a change in the plot and the relationship between the lovers. There are a few sensual and erotic moments between the lovers which tells readers about the passion they have for each other.

The author has steered away from the usual cliched love stories. The main characters are lovable and you want to see them united very soon. It is a simple love story made effective by the author's expert handling. The language is simple and elegant and the love-making scenes add the much needed spice to the story.

Isaac has it bad for Brenna but Brenna’s life hasn’t been the easiest. Filled with pain and anger and misery, Brenna isn’t sure she can trust the love he’s so willing to give her. So Isaac decides to woo her the old fashioned way, using the Twelve Days of Christmas to gift her with blessings, love, friendship and more. We start Isaac’s List as Brenna receives her first gift, not so gratefully either, and Isaac seeks advice from his elderly neighbor Mrs. O’Malley. Logan Carrington writes a simple but heartwarming love story with the help of a nosy old widow, a gossipy Jackson, and a man called Matthew with not so genuine intentions. Together they make up the players that will help Isaac win the heart of the woman he loves.

Isaac’s List is a great story about a wounded woman unable to trust in the love she feels for a man who is different from the men she’s known in her life. Brenna can’t trust her feelings for him and she cannot trust in his feelings for her so she pulls away whenever he gets too close. With the help of Mrs. O’Malley and the others, she slowly begins to see Isaac for the man that he is, and it is a testament to Logan Carrington’s skill as a writer that the reader doesn’t hate Brenna’s character for her indecision and often her snarky attitude.

There were a lot of twists and turns in the story, as often happens when too many well-intentioned people have their hands in the pot. Isaac’s List moves along at a fast clip, almost as though it were a suspense rather than a romance. Although Isaac and Brenna were the main characters, each of the secondary characters had their own plots that fleshed the story out. This is a unique story that was crafted beautifully.

Brenna McConnell is carrying secrets from her past and is so full of hurt and anger over what happened that she has shielded her heart. Issac Reed also has his share of secrets, but that doesn't stop him from falling for Brenna, but no matter what he does he can't seem to make her see that he loves her. He decides to play a game called the twelve gifts of Christmas, hoping to open her eyes to the many blessings around her. From the get go she doesn't understand the game and becomes frustrated. That's when her elderly neighbor, Mrs. Edie O'Malley, decides to get involved, enlisting the help of her friends Jackson Bradley and his "step-son" Matthew. When Matthew gets some ideas of his own, though, things go downhill fast and it looks like Brenna and Issac's pasts are about to collide with the present. Will they ever get over their past and find happiness together? Read Issac's List by Logan Carrington and find out!

There were actually two love stories going on with Issac's List. There is the story of Brenna and Issac. Although she carries guilt over something that happened, Issac has a bigger secret than that! The author's descriptions really brought the apartment building as well as the characters to life. Some of the characters were a bit quirky to say the least. There is a bit of suspense woven into this book as well as a bit of mystery as to what Matthew was really doing, and why Brenna's ex continued to show up. While there are a few sex scenes, they are tastefully done, and really flow well with the story. Anyone who enjoys a contemporary read, that deals with hurt and healing and the promise of finding true love will certainly enjoy this one. While it's a story that takes place at Christmas I would recommend it any time of the year! Oh, I did say there were two love stories going on in this one, didn't I? Well, you're just going to have to read the book to find out who else finds love in Issac's List by Logan Carrington.

There is plenty of quirky suspense and romantic intrigue in the pages of this book. The interplay of complicated characters and strange plot twists make Logan Carrington's Issac's List an unusual and passionate story. Issac and Brenna live in the same apartment building and they are clearly attracted to each other. But love in this case does not have a smooth path. Brenna is cautious with men as she is breaking free from a bad relationship. Issac also has some emotional baggage. It is Christmas time and Issac presents Brenna with an empty gift box which she discards in disgust. But Issac has a game plan and a list which will be revealed. There are several situations which do not have a clear explanation and they pique the readers' interest. But there are more ordinary and clear interactions. Neighbor Mrs. O'Malley is a sounding-board and a confidante for her friends. She has the comforting scent of baked bread coming from her apartment. Mrs. O'Malley and Issac know the truth about events which will unfold.

Logan Carrington writes with passionate energy about romance and its pitfalls. I felt as though Issac had a good heart and that he wanted to love again. The sequence of events was a little disorienting, but I think that was intended. The backdrop of Christmas gives the book its foundation. At times there is graphic eroticism, rough language, and some hints of violence that make the story deep and dark. Issac's List by Logan Carrington is a suspenseful journey with hope, mystery, and love.
