The discovery of a gold coin forged during Hitler's reign takes a marine archaeologist and his partner on a dangerous adventure involving Nazis and an ancient mythical artifact in the thrilling action novel, Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny by Ray Griggs. Jack Sterling, owner of a Marine salvage and boat recovery service, and his partner Dymitry search for a yacht that disappeared under mysterious circumstances. While exploring the crash site, Jack recovered a gold coin imprinted with a swastika and minted in 1940. Believing his find corroborates his father's theories about a missing U-boat reputedly carrying Hitler's treasures, Jack plans on going back to examine the site where he found the Nazi gold. Unfortunately, someone blasts Jack's boat out of the water. Two very powerful factions are now trying to sabotage his efforts to locate the submarine and its contents. Can Jack outsmart them and find the artifacts? What will it cost him?

Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny by Ray Griggs is a sensational adventure action novel. With compelling characters and an intense and breathtaking storyline, I couldn't put the book down until its explosive conclusion. Filled with action-packed scenes, marine exploration, unique historical artifacts, and a hint of paranormal elements, it is a breathtaking experience. It contains all of the exciting components of a Dan Brown, James Rollins, and Clive Cussler book rolled up into one. Comprising irresistible protagonists, dangerous adversaries, and eerie backdrops, this story is the thrilling first episode in what promises to be an extraordinary series. Superbly written, it promises to delight fans who love suspense-filled historical mysteries with preternatural anomalies.

Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny is a fantasy adventure novel written by Ray Griggs. Jack Sterling is a man in his early 30s who owns a small salvage and boat recovery service alongside his best friend, Dymitry. While testing out Dymitry's coded software, Jack comes across the remains of Captain Andrew Gibbons's ship, Fly 460. Rummaging through its remains, Jack discovers a 1944 gold coin with the Nazi Swastika inscribed on it. He quickly deduces a connection between the coin and the lost treasure aboard the U-Boat 2553, which contained an ancient spear from biblical times, The Spear of Destiny. As Jack describes the significance of the spear to his newfound friend Bob, he's appalled to see his beloved Falcon go up in flames and submerge itself in the harbor under suspicious circumstances.

Fast-paced and action-packed, Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny is an entertaining adventure tale that lovers of treasure hunter stories should adore. With quirky and colorful characters led by the main lead Jack, Ray Griggs's narrative flows by like the gust of a stiff breeze. Ray Griggs masterfully blends elements taken from history and mythology with fantasy and creates an intricately crafted tale that feels as immersive as it is entertaining. I found the ending a bit abrupt as the story ends on a cliffhanger, which suggests it will be continued in the sequel. I look forward to reading more. I would recommend Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny to readers who enjoy well-written adventure novels.

For readers who enjoy stories with exceptional characters, Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny by Ray Griggs will be a great read. A skillful blend of adventure, science fiction, and history, the narrative follows Jack Sterling, a marine archeologist who has the same kind of curiosity as his father. He has just discovered a rare gold coin that proves the existence of the Nazi U-Boat 2553 rumored to have sunk at sea. It is rumored that this U-Boat contained Hitler’s powerful weapon — The Spear of Destiny. It is a weapon of incredible powers. Sterling must get to the ship and extract the weapon, but he isn’t the only one looking for it and the people that are searching for it will destroy anything that stands in their way. Now, while facing sea perils and traps designed to protect the spear, Sterling has a fiancée to worry about and his loved ones. By looking for the Spear of Destiny, he has set off a chain of events that puts his and the lives of those he loves in danger.

Ray Griggs is meticulous, writing with details that add flesh to the plot and enrich the reading experience. The prose is excellent, featuring vivid descriptions that paint beautiful images in the minds of readers, taking them through a perilous experience of deep waters and following a protagonist that immediately captures their sympathy. Sterling is a multidimensional character, one with a strong personality and background, but his curiosity —and I loved how the author uses it to drive his actions and the decisions he makes — is one of the traits that define him and the world he navigates. Jack Sterling and the Spear of Destiny has hints of mystery; it is a story that is filled with action and that is irresistible if you adore adventure.
