Jessica's Dilemma by Odell Staggers is an educational book for children. The story follows two best friends named Jessica and Judy, who each have a different home life. After pent-up emotions take effect, Judy goes off the rails. She makes a decision that proves to be bad for her and ends up losing a valuable friend in the process. Judy becomes a bully to her best friend and leaves her feeling upset and confused. Jessica, with the help of her mother, finally understands where Judy's anger is coming from and sets out to help her. This book tells an important message of you never know what someone is going through behind closed doors and how it can change a person. Simply being kind and understanding will make a huge difference to someone who is going through a hard time and can transform them back into the person they used to be. Jessica's Dilemma should be read by all children so that they can learn Odell Stagger's message.

Author Odell Staggers has brilliantly told the story of Jessica and Judy. I loved how different their personalities are, and how they are still able to be the best of friends. The message Odell is trying to teach is crucial to a child's life as it can enable them to see past the bullying and to think about what could be making them that way instead. There can be many reasons a child becomes a bully, from something as small as jealousy to something more serious as parents' divorce; it can affect them in all kinds of ways and that's why being taught the lesson of kindness is so vital. I loved every page of Odell Staggers's story and recommend it to all children, no matter what their home life is like. Congrats on a great story, Odell, and good luck with more of Jessica's Dilemma series.
