Julip Lullabies and Silent Cries is a work of fiction in the drama genre. It is suitable for all ages and was penned by C. Victorya Grace. This epic book follows the members of two families bound together by an act of kindness. Beginning with one family fleeing the terrors of their country for the safety of the USA, these refugees are taken in by a family in Louisiana. As the years go by, we see multiple generations of these families face murder, threats of deportation, heart-breaking loss, and an inspiring kinship between two families from very different worlds. What results is a wide-spanning family saga with real issues at its heart, and characters to remember fondly for a lifetime.
Author C. Victorya Grace delivers a heart-wrenching tale of family, friendship, and loss. One of my favorite things about this novel is how uplifting and positive the message was despite the setting of the novel. The message the book conveys is important and well handled. Julip Lullabies and Silent Cries follows the bond that develops between Reemus and Alec and explores how loss affects their lives and the steps they’re willing to take for one another after the tragic loss of their parents. The characters are all fully fleshed out and feel like real people with real stories, which causes you to invest in them and their emotions even more, therefore feeling everything they feel throughout the novel. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fiction based on reality, and a story that will both educate and inspire you.
