Just Let $%#&! Go! by Heather and Karen Tobin is a delightful self-help book filled with beautiful illustrations and rhymes, making it easy for readers to learn how to enjoy a healthier life. The book highlights how our habit of holding onto things impacts those around us. Changing our habits takes time, and we will make mistakes along the path of releasing our burdens and resentments. We may believe our opinions are the right opinions and obsess with insisting others see things from our perspective. In addition, many people keep things they no longer need or use, cluttering their living or workspace, but Just Let $%#&! Go reminds us that we don’t need all that “stuff,” and getting rid of it could free us to do things we enjoy. Also, some of us do not appreciate our worth and berate ourselves constantly, leading to us believing we are not good enough.

Thank you, Heather and Karen Tobin, for creating such a much-needed book. Just Let $%#&! Go! should be read by everyone, including ourselves—and especially “For Those Who Need That Little Extra Kick in the Pants!” Often, families and friendships fall apart because of how people behave, but those people can be difficult to talk to or have a conversation with. Here is the solution: buy the book for them as a gift. The relaxed, fun writing style and illustrations should convey the message to those who need to get over themselves or wish to make significant changes but don’t know where to start. “Let go of thinking you’re behind on the winding road of life. The joy is in the journey, friend; embrace joy and strife!”

The recent outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced people to live locked inside their homes, relinquishing their freedom to go outside and giving up the usual comforts of ordinary modern life. It also made many people say goodbye to their loved ones against their will. Letting go of a loved one or anything else in life is never easy, and it becomes increasingly difficult the more you age. With Just Let $%#&! Go!, Karen and Heather Tobin seek to guide readers and help them move on from those aspects of life that no longer serve them. Using humor-filled rhyming stanzas and entertaining illustrations, the authors provide you with a one-stop handbook to take the next step forward; to begin your life anew without the baggage of the past.

In this ever-changing world, books like Just Let $%#&! Go! has become more and more relevant with each passing day. Whether ending smothering behavior or self-criticism, moving on from people who let you down, or getting over your failed marriage, authors Karen and Heather Tobin showcase all the various ways people get stuck on things that prohibit their growth and offer valuable insights for getting past the things that hold you back. The eye-catching illustrations add humor to the pages and make the book all the more fun and engaging to read. I was impressed with how many areas the authors covered in their stanzas with a book that is as concisely written as this. This is a must-read for anyone struggling to let go.
