Kaboomer: Thriving and Striving Into Your 90s by David Emerson Frost is a non-fiction self-help guide for baby boomers who are looking forward to enjoying their lives through their nonagenarian years. Emerson begins with an overview of common misconceptions and science-based evidence for prolonged life and an augmentation of the quality of life. The foundation of a strong body and its correlation to a strong mind depends on an active base of strength, stability, stamina, stretching, anti-stress, sleep, and a healthful diet. Addressing each of these aspects in great detail, the author even includes supplemental information at the conclusion of the book.

Both of my grandmothers still grace the earth, each in their late eighties, and each with markedly different lifestyles. Grandma number one has a gym membership that, pre-pandemic, at least, she used daily. Grandma number two does not. She is also a smoker who reminisces about her LPGA days [yes, really—she had a handicap of 4] but can no longer golf due to motility issues. David Emerson Frost provides undeniable evidence on achieving longevity, and Kaboomer: Thriving and Striving Into Your 90s goes beyond diet and exercise. Lifestyle is a choice, even when disabilities have side effects. The author calls these side effects sleep thieves and gives practical advice on what to do in those situations. David Emerson Frost's book is the perfect guide for those who want to start living a fuller life today.
