Kitten & Koi (Kitten and Friends Book 2) by Aviva Gittle is a fun children's book that is aimed at those from the ages of 2-10. Kitten has a new friend, Koi, who is a fish and of course cannot leave the comfort of the pond. Kitten would love to find a game that the two of them can play together but is unsure about the water. Can Kitten find the bravery needed to learn how to swim in the pond?

It is no secret that I am a cat person. I am the proud mom of 6 of the fluffy cuties myself and this story just made me smile and laugh along. Seeing the world through the eyes of Kitten is something that I think not only will appeal to the children it is aimed at, but it allows adults to sit back and be a kid again for a little while. I mean, who does not love a cute and fluffy kitten? Beyond that, however, the message found within the pages of this book is something that every child should learn. We all have friends who are different and sometimes we have to come out of our comfort zone to make them more comfortable and happy. Friendships can only bloom when you put yourself out there and take a risk. Thank you to Kitten for teaching such a lesson. Aviva Gittle has created a lovable adventure for children that I would happily recommend to anyone with kids in their life.
