If only Camille LeRoux and her parents had the slightest idea of what awaited them in Woodville, England, they would never have left Australia. Following the death of her Great-Uncle Charles, Camille’s dad had been left an estate in England on condition that he lived in it. While Camille felt that she had every reason to stay in Australia, she reluctantly moved with her parents into their new home at LeRoux Manor. However, Camille soon discovered a dreadful truth about her family’s history and the manor. A young girl named Mena from the LeRoux family had gone missing and her father had been found dead. Unbeknownst to Camille and her parents, the manor was haunted. Get yourself Liz Butcher’s LeRoux Manor to discover what happened to the family.

LeRoux Manor by Liz Butcher is just what you should be looking for if you love small-town horror novels based on compelling tales of an ancient spirit, murder, a haunted house, fate, and family secrets. Butcher fashioned an intriguing storyline, keeping me on edge with suspense, mystery, and thrills. Liz has a knack for capturing the mood and setting of the scenes vividly. Coupled with the way she highlights the underlying macabre tone of the story dropped me right in the middle of Camille’s terrifying and haunted world. Liz allowed me to experience the well-crafted protagonist’s emotions and connect with them. This is the type of spine-tingling read that will leave you looking behind you just to make sure no strange spirit is lurking there.
