Lies From My Best Friend’s Brother by Sienna Weaver is a 'Bad Boy Billionaire' romance novel following the main characters Millie and Nick. Millie’s had it rough in life. She lost her father at a young age and then her mother after the latter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. While alive, her mother had to sell their family house to pay for her medical bills. To top it all, Millie’s sole possession, her father’s boat, which she uses as a source of income and also serves as her home, crashes with her in it after a passenger takes it on a joy ride without her permission. After the accident, Millie wakes up with partial memory loss, and it’s up to her best friend, Audrey, and the latter’s brother, Nick, to care for Millie.
This book is a quick read that can be finished in one sitting. The plot is relatively simple and easy to follow. I thought Millie was tough to keep pushing forward, especially coming up with a way to use the boat to take care of herself, even after everything she’d been through. My heart ached for her when she had to go through the pain and loss all over again. I liked Daniella as a character; I thought she brought a breath of fresh air to the story. It’s fantastic that Millie found a new family in her friends, who always looked out for her. If you’re looking for a quick and spicy romance read to enjoy, then Lies From My Best Friend’s Brother by Sienna Weaver is the book for you.
