Little Özil is the story of a boy named Mustafa, who likes soccer and practices a lot at home and school. The problem is that although his schoolmates admire him for his ability, they also tease and discriminate against him. Mustafa feels uncomfortable but continues to play. When his dad sees that he is very good at soccer, he takes Mustafa to sign up for a local team, for which he was accepted due to his talent. However, his new companions also speak ill of him. When Mustafa's parents and coach find out, action is taken. This story is about how to deal with bullying correctly. Lewis Beilman has written an entertaining account of a situation that many children experience.

I liked how Lewis Beilman described the situation. Problems can be resolved peacefully and only good communication is required. Parents and adults will always be there to help children, while children, in turn, must learn to be more confident. Little Özil reminds children that if you enjoy doing something, you must practice to improve, which Mustafa constantly does in a good spirit. The presentation of the book is very inclusive because the drawings are simple and show harmony and a relaxed environment. Although the issue of discrimination is complicated, the author handles it in an empathetic way. Because, in all places, there are different people, and although on the outside we seem different, inside we are all the same.
