In Lordly Wadson, Jonathan Land Evans has written a most light-hearted, delightful, funny, and laid-back book. The main character, Lordly Wadson, is quirky, laid-back, and inclined to let people think that he is not very intelligent. However, nothing misses the eye of Lordly Wadson who actually has two personas.

The author has created a very colorful character In Lordly. He endears himself to readers who find themselves cheering him on in his many adventures set in 1930s Bermuda. The characters that cross paths with Lordly throughout the book are fiancée Henrietta, Charles Shelburn, Joan Butterworth, Lord Tightwad, Sergeant Jenkins, Chief Inspector Alecson, Cathy’s brother Tom and older brother Edward with his wife Fiona. These are some of the amazing characters that make up this wonderful story with all their problems and funny quirks that Lordly Wadson does not miss and that help him with his “business.”

Jonathan Land Evans has embroidered all his characters around Lordly Wadson in the most interesting way which leaves the reader wanting to know more and read further. The conclusion has the reader's imagination taking flight and thinking of various endings to the tale; a most unusual ending which I enjoyed no end. A lovely fun book that kept me reading. It is well worth the time and is most relaxing. Thank you for a book that is delightful in every way and kept me entertained from the first page to the last. Well done.
