Author Biography

Rochelle Wilcox was born and raised by a single mom in Las Vegas, where she learned at an early age the value of fantasy and escape. Despite her lifelong passion for story-telling, Rochelle's path took her to law school, but her love of writing wasn't sated with briefs bound by legal principles and a fealty to facts. And so she started to tell the story that had been playing in her mind for years, based on the Norse mythology she loved as a child and built around her favorite character — the Norse god of love, Freyr.

Unexpected events and thrilling adventures follow in Lost Long: The Road to Ragnarök Book 1 by Rochelle L. Wilcox. Ailia, aka Lia, happened to be in the wrong place at the worst moment because what she witnessed changed her world forever. Lia was just an ordinary girl living in LA when she witnessed what seemed to be the impossible, which is why she ended up being dragged along with a strange but handsome man named Franco. Turns out Franco isn’t even a man. In order to keep her alive, Franco must keep Lia at his side through his journey and through countless battles. Although none of this was planned, the most unexpected thing that happens is the love slowly brewing between the two.

Lost Long by Rochelle L. Wilcox was right up my alley with a unique twist on Norse mythology, epic battles, and memorable characters. This novel was very much on the action-packed side of things and although this may not be to everyone’s taste, I found it to be quite entertaining and a nice change of pace. One can also reason that considering the world setting, it would only be natural for there to be many battles taking place. This in no way takes away from the characters or their experiences and rather gave the main characters various opportunities to grow closer. Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and found the characters really endearing. The writing was well done, not overly wordy in description, and it was definitely more of a show not tell novel which I appreciated. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
