Lotti is a lovely little girl who hurt her left knee as a baby. Now she can do everything - she can jump, dance, and even cartwheel - but she still cannot bend her knee. However, when Lotti sees a rhythmic gymnast at school, she decides she wants to learn to do the same things. Her classmates tell her that it is impossible because of her knee, but her mom reminds her that she is a fighter. Lotti begins to practice and after a few weeks, she has her first tournament. Will Lotti be able to achieve her goal? Read her story in Lotti and the Big Dream by Charly Froh.

A true story inspired Charly Froh to write Lotti and the Big Dream, and, like all true stories, this one offers us food for thought. I loved the message in this book, and I am sure many young readers will feel happy and more determined after reading it. Nothing is impossible if a dream is big enough, and Lotti proved it with perseverance and dedication. Even though her classmates told her she would not make it, she did not listen and did everything possible to make her dream come true. We all need to learn this lesson if we want to achieve our own goals, and Lotti teaches us that it is worth it. I recommend Lotti and the Big Dream to all young readers looking for hope and optimism. This is the perfect book for them.
