Kassarah lived a decent life, but they rescinded the scholarship, and she was desperate to raise funds for her nursing college fees. When all else failed, an opportunity to be a surrogate came up, and she grabbed it. But things went downhill from there, as she fell into the trap of a vengeful ex-wife, Nurse Natalie. There was a switch in the semen sample, and Kass got inseminated with the wrong goods. Natalie went a step further to introduce and dump Kass on her ex-husband, Mat, a fresh ex-convict. Mat was a struggling guy with a troubled childhood, and he never wanted kids. Who will go down in this crazy triangle? What is Kass’s fate? Find out the juicy details in this novel titled Love Is… by Katharine M. Sweet.

Love Is… by Katharine M. Sweet was humorous and engaging all the way. The first lesson taught by this book was PATIENCE! Holding on a minute more, a day more, a week more could eliminate impending catastrophe. Other themes explored in this novel include loyalty, bravery, acceptance, selflessness, and the gift of having a family. Love Is… started on a crazy note, and I was so angry at the unfair treatment Mat got from everyone. However, as the novel progressed, I fell in love. Expectant mothers will read this book and know that they aren’t alone. I loved the plot, development, dialogue, and writing style. Vinnie, Rex, and Izzy sucked me in with their sweet personalities. I also loved Kass and Mat the grump. Was that a cliffhanger in the epilogue? I want more.

Love Is...by Katharine Sweet is a romantic comedy. Kassarah has never been an impulsive type of girl until she decided to be a surrogate mom to an ex-con’s ex-wife. If it had only stopped at that, everything would be fine but somehow Kassarah found herself buried in a revenge plot. Mat didn’t want children but suddenly a stranger is carrying his baby. He’d already made a mess of his own life and had no intention of taking anyone else down with him. When Kassarah and Mat decide to move in together to make things easier in the short term, they do it with the almost full support of their families and friends. But events take them way off the road they were on. What started out as revenge could turn into the love story of the century – if Mat and Kassarah can see what’s right in front of them and between them.

Love is… by Katherine Sweet is a wonderful story with plenty of laughs and romance along the way. It’s the kind of story you will get hooked on, drawn into, and unable to put down until you’ve finished it. It starts out as a crazy story but quickly morphs into something real, full of action and adventure all the way through. The characters are great, well-developed, fun, and loveable. They are easy to identify with and have quirks and flaws we’ve all come across at some time or another in our lives. The plot is unique and very cleverly written, a story that starts with an impulsive act and ends with a happy ever after – eventually. The epilogue indicates there may be more to this story though so perhaps a sequel is in the offing?

Love Is… is a work of fiction in the romantic comedy genre and serves as the first installment of the Goodroe Brothers series. It is aimed at the adult reading audience and was penned by Katharine Sweet. The book follows the budding romance of Kassarah and Mat, which begins with Kassarah acting as a surrogate mother for Mat and his vengeful ex-partner. As they navigate the pregnancy and all that comes with it in terms of family and friends getting involved, the quick fix of living together whilst they wait for the child becomes the catalyst of a budding romance between the two, neither of whom fully understand how they ever ended up in this situation to begin with!

It's fairly bonkers to begin a slow-burning romance story with a pregnancy; a massive life event that seems the antithesis of the gradual development of feelings and characters' dawning realizations of how they really feel about each other. Flying in the face of this paradox, Love Is… manages to have the best of both worlds, using the pregnancy to push its two leads into each other’s orbits long enough for the feelings to grow. As the romance begins to gently simmer, author Katharine Sweet doesn’t miss a single trick in squeezing humor and heart out of the surrogacy situation in equal measure. Sweet has a gift for finding comedy in places usually reserved for serious discussion, but never in such a way that detracts from the physical and emotional hardships that come with being pregnant.

Love Is… is a romantic comedy novel suited for readers aged 18 and above, written by Katharine Sweet. The story starts with a small-town girl called Kassarah. Kass could not be more innocent, coming from a family of preachers and going to a conservative university in Houston. Her conservative lifestyle was thrown out of the window when she was faced with an impossible situation to renew her scholarship for her nursing degree. From taking action to help another family conceive as a surrogate, she became a victim in a twisted plot of revenge. Stuck with an unwanted pregnancy with an ex-con man, Mat Goodroe, can she pull through this pregnancy and raise a child on her own? After all, she was only 19.

Love Is… by Katharine Sweet is an engaging novel on revenge, love, and destiny, coupled with a tumultuous pregnancy. This novel not only gives a good laugh even on the heavy subject of young pregnancy, but the acceptance and support system of the pregnancy around Kassa was refreshing and teaches the moral of accepting fate and taking responsibility. I also really loved the unlikely romance between Kass and Mat, with Kass learning to accept motherhood. Teaching a household of men how to love and care for one another is very wholesome. Love Is… is the sort of book that will keep you turning the pages to find out what will happen next! I recommend this book to anyone that has a soft spot for bad boys and sizzling romance.

Love Is... by Katharine Sweet is a romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud while also falling in love with the characters. Kassarah thought she was doing a good deed when she decided to be a surrogate for a couple. She had no idea she would be stuck in the middle of chaos. Turns out, the couple wasn’t doing too well. That meant Kassarah was pregnant for a couple that wasn’t together anymore and turns out Mat, the father, wasn’t really into starting a family. Now that she was pregnant, Mat and Kassarah decided to live together to get the kid into this world and provide a supportive and loving environment. They would think about their future later. However, neither of them was expecting to fall in love and feel all those emotions. With their chaotic friends and even more chaotic life, Mat and Kassarah were in for a bumpy ride. Were they ready for it?

Incredibly fun and entertaining, this outstanding story had me laughing and loving every moment. While Kassarah was helpful and a little overwhelmed, Mat was simply shell-shocked. Regardless of the situation, the duo tried to make sense of the situation, to make the best decisions, and that was where the fun began. They complemented each other’s personalities; they made a great pair, and the duo fitted together very well. While the narrative was fun to read, it was the dialogues that made the story special and outstandingly humorous for me. The cutting, witty punchlines, the bickering between Matt and Kassarah, and the whole pregnancy made Love Is... by Katharine Sweet brilliant!
