Love is a Filing Cabinet by Jeanne Kern is a beautiful contemporary romance novel for young adults. It follows the life of Minnesota Evans and her travails. Born to hippie parents and with a deliberately obtuse sister to boot, she couldn't wait to get away from them. They stressed her out. Connecticut wanted everything that was Minnesota's, including her job, which she got. However, the universe had other plans when she bumped into one of the bosses, Ford, at the stolen job interview. He offered Minnesota the job of organizing his chaotic work life. But what will they do when their emotions also need organizing? What happens if Connecticut sets her sights on Ford? We'll see how Minnesota juggles loyalty to her family and choosing herself for once!

I loved everything about Love is a Filing Cabinet by Jeanne Kern. The plot was fantastic and realistic. It blended a lively and laid-back tone, giving me the feel of a great family drama series. I enjoyed the character development as it was progressive and consistent, especially Dode. He went from an annoying hippie to showcasing that he was more. Henning's and Connecticut's characters were also unpredictable, taking me from love to hate for the former and the reverse for the latter. I'm also grateful that the book was error-free, and the writing was stylish. Lastly, this novel teaches us to create a balance between making ourselves a priority and caring for others. We should also learn to let go and live a little because no one has it all together. This is a wonderful book by Jeanne Kern. I loved it!
