Addy is happy in the small town of Old Pine Cove, running her inn, and looking forward to the day when she can afford to buy the adjoining property and turn it into a petting zoo. Addy is excited about the upcoming wedding that will be taking place in a couple of weeks and is busy getting the inn ready and dealing with the difficult grandmother of the groom. Duckota adds comic relief as the duck who escapes his pen and runs amok through the hotel. When the unusual reservation for Kermit the Frog turns out to be Justin, the boy who ruined her life in high school, Addy is anything but pleased. She has hated him for many years for the mean things he did to her and now he returns – very handsome, very sexy, a famous actor, and trying very hard to prove to her that he has changed and is now a really nice and lovable guy.

Love to Prove You Wrong: A Small-Town Romantic Comedy (Old Pine Cove) by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a perfect romantic comedy that should be a weekly TV show. If you like romance, comedy, well-defined characters and a fun plot, then Love To Prove You Wrong is a must-read. It is a book that was hard to put down and made me laugh and smile a lot as I shared in the story. It is easy to understand the hate Addy has for the annoying Justin and we happily share in the ups and downs between them, rooting for them to find love at the end of their journey. This is a surefire winner and a stand alone book, but I can’t wait to read other books about Old Pine Cove and Addy, Justin, and, of course, Duckota.
