Although it may appear a complicated subject for children, this picture book surprised me with its simple explanations perfectly paired with colorful and well-worked drawings. I would strongly recommend this book to any parent wanting to educate their children on basic financial concepts but unsure how to do it. It won’t disappoint.

So they each choose a job, do the work, and learn the lesson that doing work is the best way to ensure everyone gets their fair share. Delauney is a financial advisor who says the book is for kindergarten through third-grade children. Chiara Civati illustrates this fourth book in the Owning the Dash Kids’ Book series.

Delauney has the gift of not only knowing what children need to learn about money but presenting the information in an enjoyable, easy-to-understand way. The story is cleverly thought out and presented in rhyme, which adds to the fun of reading for children old enough to read and/or for those reading to younger children. The illustrations by Chiara Civati are beautiful and fit the text perfectly. I also like that the illustrations show children of many ethnicities. This is another book by Delauney that receives my highest possible recommendation to children, their parents, and their grandparents.
