Author Biography

So, who’s this Ron Mileti guy, right? Ron is a nationally award-winning writer and an International Life Coach & Business Trainer with a prestigious organization. Ron has led thousands of coaching sessions with people all over the world, from Switzerland to Saudi Arabia to USA, from 18 to 80 years old, from truck drivers to CEOs to TV celebrities.

How did Ron get here? He read his first self-help book Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill when just 12 years old (if you knew his family, you’d understand why). Later, Ron read more books from authors like Wayne Dyer, Norman Vincent Peale, and others, and participated in live events from Landmark Worldwide and more. To go pro, Ron first graduated from the Robbins-Madanes Training, the official coach training school of Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes. Then Ron also completed hundreds of hours of training with master coaches with a notable organization. Ron also earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from John Carroll University.

All this education and training led to Ron’s work as a consultant to Bob Proctor, speaker, author, and contributor to the book and movie The Secret. This also led to Ron’s work with Kyle Cease, comedian featured on Comedy Central and motivational speaker.

Ron was also the founder and president of a digital marketing agency, with clients like the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Emergen-C Vitamin Drink, American Greetings, Disney, Cartoon Network, NFL, Hallmark Channel, and many more.

Ron Mileti's Miserable You is a self-help book done in reverse. He calls it an anti-self-help book! Its do's and don'ts tell us that being miserable more often than not is brought about by ourselves and the choices that we make. It has 17 lessons/chapters with interesting titles, some of which tell us that we are or can become miserable because we willfully Interpret Things in the Worst Way Possible (lesson 3) or that we must or habitually Appreciate Nothing (lesson 5), Take, Don't Give (lesson 9) or that we must Learn to be Helpless (lesson 6) and that we should Never Feel that We Have Enough (lesson 11), or to Never Forgive, Never Forget (lesson 14), or unhealthily Ignore your Needs (You don't deserve them) (lesson 15), or be an eternal pessimist by teaching yourself to Envision a Horrible Future (lesson 16) among others. Cartoon-like Illustrations show some of his shrewd commentaries, motivational phrases, or insights concerning a theme or content of a lesson/chapter. The Notes area is where the reader can either write down their profound insights or jot down their grocery list.

Self-help guides can be of value, and Ron Mileti's Miserable You is certainly not the usual run-of-the-mill "just be positive" guide. Though it is written in a sarcastic and hilarious style, its main intention is to incite the rebellious side in us by not doing what the author says in the book. Either his reverse psychology approach takes effect on the reader and has them find ways to manage their misery to help them get out of a rut or they find the book a kind of self-affirmation that encourages them to continue to wallow in misery. Assuming that one's state of being miserable is not at a point where professional help is needed, being able to resonate with Ron Mileti's book is a good way to develop a sense of self-awareness, to help the reader understand what one is experiencing or going through. Hopefully, the book can give readers focus, guide them to make changes, and overcome the challenges, stagnation, and demotivation that the miserable areas in their lives have given them. If you enjoy humor, are not easily offended by snarkiness, and have decided to get your groove back so you will eventually be happier, healthier, and even more efficient, then this book is for you.
