In Murder Music: A Mystery-Thriller for Music Lovers by Michael Baldwin, Melissa McKean had played the violin since she was four years old. She played in several small orchestras and won regional prizes. In four months, she would debut as a soloist in the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. She met Mr. Blakely and was intrigued by jazz. He took her to jazz clubs and she played street corner jazz with him. Someone stabbed Mr. Blakely while they were playing but she saved his life by shoving her violin case between him and the attacker. Missy took Mr. Blakely to Mrs. Rendon’s house to attend to his wounds. Missy’s violin was damaged so Mrs. Rendon gave her an old violin named The Arc Angel. There was something mysterious and supernatural about the violin - it was haunted by the spirit of a young girl.

The plot in Murder Music: A Mystery-Thriller for Music Lovers by Michael Baldwin is interesting and unique. A few stories were knitted together, and I was intrigued from the beginning. It was easy to read and kept my attention. I could not put it down. There were so many twists and turns that I never knew what to expect next. The story was fast-paced but never felt rushed. There was enough action to keep it interesting. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and I kept turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. The characters were well developed and interesting. Each had their background, and they were described in a way so that I felt I knew them. They were realistic, and I could relate to them. The story is well written and exceeded my expectations.
