Mutton Busting to Bull Riding is a children's picture book by M.D. Ford. Have you ever dreamed of becoming a bull rider? Well, this book will teach you the steps required to become one. The book follows Little Dee as she goes to the fairground for a rodeo show and is joined by her friend Henry. There she learns about mutton busting, an activity involving children riding sheep, steers, and finally bulls. Dee is also taught about the importance of protective gear and having strong arms and legs to hold on to the sheep, steer, or bull. Dee and Henry learn about riding at the fairground, but more importantly, they have lots of fun.

Mutton Busting to Bull Riding by M.D. Ford is an informative and entertaining book. Readers will learn the basics of bull riding and what it takes to develop your skills in this sport. The instructions were easy to follow. Her warnings about the hazards were clear, and I loved that the author seamlessly included information about rodeo clowns and bullfighters. The illustrations by Jose Nieto are perfect for this book. The colors are bright and eye-catching, which is ideal for children. The illustrator has also added some hidden gems for readers to find. I liked this because this will be a fun activity for children. I recommend parents and caregivers read this book with their children and learn about mutton busting, steer riding, and bull riding together. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
