Mysterious Tales of the Unexplained: Volume 2 by Patricia Miller will provide you with spooky elements, bizarre mysteries, and a touch of romance. The book consists of four novellas. In The Spiral Staircase, a mother and daughter seek to explain a mystifying dream that haunts young Rylee. The search leads them deep underground. Scary Mary tells about inexplicable and scary events troubling the basement office employees. A Puzzling Mystery takes us to the Open Arms retirement home, where a pair of friends, Mable and Archie, assume the role of private detectives despite dangerous circumstances. Mystery Weekend at Morehead Mansion shows us a group of teenagers exploring a Chinese puzzle box to solve its riddles.

Mysterious Tales of the Unexplained by Patricia Miller is a cozy read. Original illustrations by various talented artists accompany every tale. Not only young adult readers will be carried away by the flow of the narrative. Even the most avid lovers of detective stories (like myself) would not be disappointed by A Puzzling Mystery, with its classic flavor, or the impressive abilities of seventeen-year-old Noah regarding the interpretation of riddles in Mystery Weekend at Morehead Mansion. Patricia Miller also knows how to scare her readers. Scary Mary shows that everything is not as it seems, providing a breathtaking twist at the end. It is worth mentioning the plethora of amazing characters like Ginny and Rylee in The Spiral Staircase, which provides a heartwarming moral. This collection of novellas underlines the importance of family values, friendship, and resourcefulness in any situation, without resorting to dogma.
