In Mystery at Point Beach: Alien Invasion by Kate Jungwirth and Deborah Ann Erdmann, a small group of mystery-solving kids gets a phone call about the possibility of alien activity. As Dominic, Forest and Sailor find clues that make the mystery much deeper than just a swamp gas problem, another mystery comes up that could be related to their current problems. Ranger Rick has heartily expressed that there are no such things as aliens or UFOs but he goes missing, leaving nothing behind except his walkie-talkie. Are the sightings just swamp gas set off by a meteorite landing in Lake Michigan or are the sightings and green lights really alien activity? Can Dominic and his friends find enough clues to solve the alien mystery and discover where Ranger Rick went before everyone leaves Point Beach?

Mystery at Point Beach: Alien Invasion is a wonderful story with an entertaining plot made up of lights and sightings over Lake Michigan at Point Beach that spark off a fun mystery to unravel. The characters are all well defined with unique personalities that make Mystery At Point Beach a very interesting tale for anyone to read. I recommend this story by Jungwirth and Erdmann to anyone who enjoys a great mystery that does not give away too many clues too early and with a surprise twist that is unexpected. I hope to read more by Jungwirth and Erdmann about Dominic and his friends in adventures like Mystery At Point Beach in the near future.

This is a fun series for the whole family!

Dominic and his friends, Forest and Sailor, head to Point Beach after receiving a disturbing call from the camp hosts. A series of strange, glowing lights in the sky are stirring up rumors of an alien invasion, and a conspiracy theory is well underway.
Only a pair of alien hunters remain at the campground, documenting the bizarre events on their YouTube channel. These sci-fi junkies are the last straw for Ranger Rick who maintains that aliens do not exist, until he’s caught in a paranormal encounter that might change his mind.
With the park dangerously close to becoming a ghost town, it will take supernatural effort by three young detectives to unravel a string of clues and crack the case, as the very existence of Point Beach depends on it.

The third in a series of camping mysteries featuring Dominic and his friends, Sailor and Forest, Alien Invasion is a "can't put down" mystery with endearing characters. Although there are certainly many heart-stopping suspenseful moments, there are equally plenty of lighthearted surprises and laughs throughout the story. I thoroughly enjoyed Alien Invasion and can't wait to see what mysteries unravel for Dominic and his friends in future stories.

Deborah Erdmann and Kate Jungwirth have created another fun adventure in Mystery at Point Beach - Alien Invasion, the third in the series featuring teen amateur detectives Dominic, Forest and Sailor, this time on the trail of alien invaders sighted over Lake Michigan after a meteorite landed in the lake.

They are suspicious of alien hunter Quinn with his own podcast show and a stray creature that Dominic encounters in the woods at night. But when Park Ranger Rick disappears, they shift into high gear and unravel the surprise mystery behind the alien sightings.

Teens and preteens will easily identify with these three friends and their summertime adventure at Point Beach, a fun read for all. 5 STARS!

After a meteor crashes at Lake Michigan, strange things start happening: Odd lights in the sky, an abduction, and the appearance of an unusual creature. People are convinced that aliens have invaded. Teen detectives, Dominic, Sailor, and Forest want to get to the bottom of it all and find out what's really going on.

Mystery at Point Beach is a fun, fast-paced read for kids who enjoy mysteries. The characters are easy to relate to, and the subject matter is sure to hook a reader. After all, who doesn't like reading about UFOs? Recommended for readers in grade 3 and up.
