One is Enough by Maurice Trent is a wonderful yet short story; more so, I would call it a lesson or even awakening. This story is told with few sentences overall, but it is accompanied by wonderful watercolor illustrations. Not only are they breathtaking, but most importantly, they complement the story. They make it much more worthwhile; they are those kinds of pictures that you could stare at for hours. I wish I could hang one of them in my house and make it a part of my life. What Maurice Trent tells us is that no matter how big or small an action is, there will always be a consequence. The smallest thing can have a ripple effect on people's lives, communities, and even the world.

I am in awe of just how the 5 minutes that it took me to read this book somehow changed my life. In the simplest of ways, I have been reminded about the power of the individual, of how our smallest and most sincere intentions and actions can change everything. They can inspire people to do the same and even more. We often forget these simple facts of life, and it is nice to be reminded about them in such a beautiful way. Every life is meaningful in this world. Learning to cherish and respect everything that surrounds us will, in the end, make our lives easier and undoubtedly happier. No better book than One is Enough by Maurice Trent to help you remember just how simple life is and how beautiful it can be.
