Owl B. Blue is very sad. He learned at church that Jesus died on the cross. In Rob Sudano’s Owl B. Blue on Easter Day, his parents explained how Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after the crucifixion, which is why we celebrate Easter Day as a happy occasion. Owl B. Blue is so happy to hear the news that he runs out the door to share what he’s learned. When he meets Owl B. Purple, he’s surprised to learn that she already knows the good news and even more surprised when she gives him a copy of the Bible to read the entire story himself.

In Rob Sudano’s picture book, Owl B. Blue on Easter Day, is another exciting children's Christian story in the Owl B. Blue Adventure series. Like the other stories in the series, Owl B. Blue is learning how to deal with his inner emotions and find strength through his friends, family, and faith. Told in rhyming verse to make it lyrical, and using simple language so young readers can easily follow along and improve their reading skills, this story will appeal to the 4 to 8-year-old young reader. The illustrations, also by Rob Sudano, are bright, bold, and colorful and move the story along with excitement and anticipation. The story is both entertaining and educational and will help young readers further understand and appreciate some of the deeper meanings behind our Christian faith. Beautifully told.
