There are so many ways that children can learn the alphabet. Why not do so with food and nutrition? In reading Queen Bee's Alphabet Cookbook: A Nutrition Guide for Families by Mariah Ecker RD and Teri Ecker, children will have fun because they will learn how different types of food are associated with letters of the alphabet. M is for milk, L is for lemon and lime and Y is for yellow, which are the colors of a pineapple and a banana. Wait, there's so much more. This book offers advice from kitchen safety tips and creating a balanced meal to easy dish recipes that your children can make, including some delicious beverages. To enhance your child's cognitive abilities along with learning the alphabet, they can improve their vocabulary using the words as an excellent means to develop their communication skills.

This book was a joy to read because it enables children to see the alphabet and associate it with something visual. People learn differently and the ability to both read and see it creates a platform for the reader to understand according to their individual needs. Queen Bee's Alphabet Cookbook by Mariah Ecker RD and Teri Ecker offers activities that can be done either alone or with a parent, such as making some of the dishes and beverages or writing down their favorite recipes. A portion of the proceeds from each book purchase goes to food banks and literacy programs. Establishing healthy eating patterns and safely navigating around the kitchen is smart and goes a long way. Enjoy!
