Can parenting be taught to people, or learnt by reading few books or attending some workshops? This is an on-going debate. Many argue that our parents, grand parents and many other generations of men and women raised their kids without the need for any books. Can't we just continue in the same way? Do we really need books for something as simple and basic as raising kids?

Only few books rise above this argument and provide some really useful and unique help to the reader. One such book is Raising High Achieving Kids by Elizabeth Olagunju. In this well written book, author Elizabeth Olagunju offers seven unique ways to enhance your child's future. Best part of this book is the simple style in which the author explains the seven techniques with very good examples and explanations. It is a very fast read while the concepts will stay with you forever.

I am tempted to talk about each of these techniques, but that wouldn't be fair; you need to learn them yourself from the book. So, let me just provide a high level overview about them to create an interest:

1. How do you make your kids find what they enjoy and what they want to be?
2. How do you make them move in that direction without distractions?
3. If they make mistakes, how do you (or they) correct it?
4. How do you make them think New?
5. What about their attitude? Is it important?
6. Should you encourage them with your words? Or it can backfire?
7. How will they handle pressure and lack of confidence?

That's the gist of what you will learn from this book, but with great examples and narration!
