Re-Write by Duygu Balan is a self-help workbook that adopts a more holistic approach to healing past traumas. This book aims to bridge the gap between a shortage of mental health professionals in the industry and the growing demand for mental health services. The guide consists of 5 parts: Our Healing Journey Begins, Tools for Our Success, Door to Our Mind, Window to Our Soul, and Resources to Our Future. These include many different exercises to recover from past traumas, no matter how large or small they may be. From creative writing prompts to coping techniques that soothe the soul, this is a complete guide for you to start your healing process.

Re-Write by Duygu Balan is a great guide to dealing with mental health issues. I liked the way this book highlighted the increasing relevance of mental health in recent years due to major events that have caused trauma, such as the pandemic, recent wars around the world, and natural disasters. I also appreciated that the author pointed out how something as simple as stress can lead to mental health concerns, resulting in drug abuse and other coping strategies that could become life-threatening. I loved how interactive this work was. It felt as if I was having a one-on-one session with a psychiatrist, giving me a whole new understanding of mental health and the areas that applied to me. I see how this book can open doors for those that don’t have access to mental health professionals. This beautifully illustrated guide is well-rounded, from identifying the cause of our problems and providing suggestions on how to overcome our struggles to ways of coping in the future.
