Reflections on Art, Life, and Italy by Supriya Kharod is a fabulous collection of paintings that give glimpses of the artist's travels, and how her perception of life unravels through these beautiful paintings. They are the reflection of the artist's mind and as she enthralls readers with wonderful sights of Rome, Venice, Assisi, Florence and Pisa, and the Vatican. The stories shared through the eyes of an artist will encourage readers not only to travel to Italy but also to other places in the world and make their own memories. The book is just not about art; it is about self-discovery, self-confidence, and listening to the inner voice which makes readers look at the profundities and intricacies of life in an unusual and unique way.

The book is layered. The artist also gives helpful tips about watercolor and the science behind why these paintings are considered lively and colorful. Supriya Kharod also takes readers through places of interest along with her words and insights, and they reveal the mind of a spiritually evolved person. Her words are crisp and she gives just enough information about the places visited while the rest can be fathomed by readers looking at the pictures and coming to their own conclusions. The detailing in the paintings, the colors and shapes used strategically, and the artist's interpretation of the pictures make Reflections on Art, Life, and Italy tangible for readers. This book is definitely one to have on the shelf, especially if you love art and traveling, and this is one of the best ways to enjoy the sights and sounds of Italy.
