Eeh-ahh is an alien who lands on Earth with the help of a young girl named Shirl. Shirl tells Eeh-ahh about school and what they do there. After hearing about all of the exciting things such as telling stories, Eeh-ahh decides to tag along with Shirl and experiences school for herself. Eeh-ahh is delighted when she meets the other children and can't wait to start the day. After meeting Shirl's teacher, Eeh-ahh draws pictures of a map of where she is from. The map is shaped like a rocket ship and Eeh-ahh discovers that humans call them constellations.

Rocket Ship Made of Stars: Naming Constellations (I am an Alien) by Lois Wickstrom is a fun and educational children’s book that will teach your child about constellations. Lois has created Eeh-ahh to be such a fun character. The fact that she is an alien sparks intrigue in the reader because it immediately pulls them in by making them wonder what an alien is doing on Earth. Is she here to cause mischief? Or does Ee-ahh come in peace? Rocket Ship Made of Stars will be fun to read out loud. The illustrations by Nicolas Milano help bring the character, Eeh-ahh, alive.

The main plot of the book is based on where Eeh-ahh comes from, and it leads to the educational part of the book where you learn about constellations. I've never been able to remember the different constellations myself, but this book simplifies them and shows them in a fun, memorable way. This isn't the first book of Lois Wickstrom's that I've had the pleasure to read, and once again, I wasn't disappointed with the contents. She is a great children's writer and I can't wait to read even more. Keep up the good work!
