Slashtag by Jon Cohn is a horror story that will leave you cold. Slashtag is the competition to end all competitions and perhaps your life. Seven celebrities head to the Propitius Hotel where Arthur Wilson once lived, one of the worst serial killers America has ever seen. The hotel is hosting a competition, and Tawny Howlett, whose influencer lifestyle is failing, has agreed to participate. Fun to start with, it becomes apparent that Wilson never left the hotel, his ghost is still there, and the celebrities are about to discover absolute terror. With the competition being live-streamed, everyone witnesses the extraordinary happenings in Propitius Hotel, as secrets are found out, and the contestants pay for their crimes. On the outside, Tawny’s sister desperately tries to save her while baring the truth about the TV network for all to see. Will any of the celebrities make it out alive?

Slashtag by Jon Cohn is a creepy, bloodthirsty tale where death is the main subject; how many ways are there to die? This story is for true horror fans, but if you’ve never read a horror story before, this is a great way to introduce yourself to the genre. The characters are interesting, real people that you get to know well before they disappear from your life. This is a clever narrative with a unique plot, part horror, part paranormal tale, with plenty of blood and terror to chill you. The premise of combining a reality-survivor-type show with a murderous ghost is perfect, and it results in a story that will entertain you while making your hair stand on end. It has an exciting plot, offers plenty of action, and is fast-paced; great for anyone who loves a good slasher story. This would also make a good TV series.
