Along the way, they find warmth with Cariboumen and enjoy the hospitality of the Wood Duck and Woodchuck clans in a journey that, if they survive, might lead to integration into a new civilization, where peace, acceptance, celebrations, and gratitude reside.

Joseph Mondrella has a gift for crafting imaginative worlds where traditional concepts are twisted into fantastical elements, and Swanocerosman Two is another example of this. His is a place of hybrid creatures beyond just the main characters, like half-fish dragons and eagbullbeatle people. Mondrella's signature use of unique linguistics and a dynamic rhythm and flow remains as playful and engaging as in book one, Swanocerosman. I like how Swanocerosman and his companions must adapt to survive in a series of extremely dangerous situations and environments and are smart enough to know that they cannot possibly survive without camaraderie. Each character has their strengths and collaboratively they make these work well together. Another good tale from a talented writer. Recommended.
