Brendyn Zachary's The Backpacker Lifecycle takes you on an amazing trip with a man who followed his desire to escape the monotony of his work-centric lifestyle in Canada by traveling to various locations across the world. The 20-year backpacking odyssey contains stories from Tokyo, New Zealand, France, Australia, the Middle East, Canada, South America, Central Africa, and other locations. Brendyn discusses the physical aspects of his trip, such as taking trains and sleeping in hostels, as well as the beauty of the surroundings and the isolation he learned to adore. The book also includes communication issues, breaking up relationships in order to travel once again, the difficulties of finding friends in a foreign country, and other facets of his social life while traveling. Additionally, readers follow Brendyn's struggles as he attempted to define his identity and strike a balance between happiness and financial security.

The Backpacker Lifecycle does not disappoint with its varied selection of humorous anecdotes, such as when the protagonist was mugged for a water bottle and when he tried to convey Rihanna's Umbrella lyrics to someone who didn't speak much English. The book's other incredible attributes include revelatory, insightful, and thought-provoking discussions. As I continuously struggle with a similar issue, I identified with the author's dilemma of finding his dream job stressful and desiring a happier life. Furthermore, Brendyn's deft and skillful use of words was a delight. Lastly, travel aficionados will appreciate the book's information about the issues Brendyn encountered, the things he loved, and the detailed descriptions of the many sights he visited on his several trips. Prepare to have your desire to travel multiplied many times over by Brendyn Zachary's incredible travel story. I wholeheartedly endorse it!
