The Businesswoman is a romantic drama by Aqualite Muraglia. Annette Arashi is a highly successful American businesswoman with Oriental roots living in Washington. After inheriting a sizeable fortune from her family, Annette went on to become the richest woman in America at the age of just thirty-five. Apart from running a successful empire, Annette also has her hands full owning several nuclear power plants and a space research facility equipped with the latest technology. With an interest in physical activities like martial arts and dancing, Annette hires a dance instructor named Nicholas DiCaprio, with whom she soon becomes romantically involved. Although the intense scrutiny from the press threatens to overwhelm their personal lives, Annette and Nicholas find a way to be together. Annette is ready to share her biggest achievement with Nicholas. But is he ready?

The Businesswoman is a story about a strong, independent, and successful young woman using her position to change the status quo and make the world a better place to live in. Aqualite Muraglia tells an engaging tale with the main protagonist who feels like an amalgamation and celebration of the confident and career-oriented modern woman. The characters have specific outlined roles that they slot into, but this is more of a theme-driven narrative, where the characters and the plot almost take a backseat. Annette and Nicholas are two of the more well-developed characters, and it's their relationship that drives the story forward. If you're a fan of romance involving powerful women, this is the book for you.
