Chances all of these are so familiar to you if you come across my profile: “Do it, stop being emotional, take back control, move, and don’t get stuck!” I was “in control” for half of my life, using personal influence. It worked out until I collapsed.

Self-control is like a limited energy source. When it's low, we struggle with negativity, feel vulnerable, may avoid challenges and lose motivation. As the founder, doctoral researcher, and award-winning author I advocate for the significance of emotions. Elena V. Amber is a highly sensitive person, and for a long time, she thought it was her weakness, but after research and meditation, she realized it was a gift. Her discovery of the power of emotional engagement is highlighted in The Gift Of Sensitivity. The author experienced abandonment, loss, and psychological and physical trauma that filled her with fear and anxiety. She detached herself from her feelings, which led to more harm than good. She was manipulated, went into survival mode and a rebellious phase, and lost her self-purpose. And even after attaining her goals and having a beautiful family, she still felt lonely and guilty for surviving alone. In this book, she covers the various psychological methods and experiments she used to alter her emotional state, overcome her limiting beliefs, and master her feelings.

The Gift Of Sensitivity is an enlightening book that will help you use sensitivity to your advantage. Whether in life or work, society has always painted sensitivity as a negative trait, but Elena V. Amber gives its benefits. She calls sensitivity a superpower you can use for creativity, to achieve inner peace, and to show compassion. The author defines everything in simple terms and uses relatable examples to explain the various psychological principles and methods she mentions. I learned a lot of new things and got to see many success principles in a different light. Her views on a hero’s journey and achieving a better version of yourself through daily practice differed from what many people preach. She wrote passionately and showed her in-depth understanding of these topics. I loved her vulnerability and authenticity. This is brilliant writing and great work. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to master their emotions and use sensitivity to form better connections with themselves and others.

The Gift of Sensitivity: The Extraordinary Power of Emotional Engagement in Life and Work by Elena V. Amber is an excellent resource and guide for maximizing the gift of sensitivity. We live in a world today of many emotions. The way we see and respond to the world is called sensitivity. Emotions play a big part in our level of sensitivity. Sensitivity has been viewed as a weakness for far too long. Amber recognizes the value of sensitivity and emotions as it permeates almost everything in life, from creative expression to developing new ideas in the workplace. EQ, or Emotional Quotient, akin to IQ, the Intelligence Quotient, can determine how people and ideas can be perceived and implemented. EQ training can sharpen our understanding of emotions and how they impact the workforce, consumers, and communication. "Business" may not be the first word that comes to mind when you think about sensitivity, but Amber shows that it could be our biggest asset, now and in the future.

I love how Amber grounds this book in her work as a researcher in psychology, human experiences, business, and personal meditation methods, with a special emphasis on how people interact emotionally. You can effect change by learning how to use the sensitivity within you. Readers will appreciate the encouraging, easy tone of the writing and the lessons on sensitivity and emotions. The chapter on mind games can be useful to those in need, and I like the advice on exploring and utilizing your gifts. Suppose you're a person who longs to learn more about emotional power and how to use it in every facet of life. In that case, The Gift of Sensitivity by Elena V. Amber is meant for you.
