The Pickles of Pickleton by Bucleigh Newton Kernodle is a children's picture book that tells the story of the Pickles community residing in Pickleton forest. The community, based on God's love, was made up of pickles with distinct personalities, including salty, sour, sweet, and happy types, which formed families like the Dills. Unfortunately, the Sour Family, one of the groups of pickles, was selfish, mean, and unwilling to help others. However, one day, the Sours learned the importance of empathy and friendship when they were asked to assist their neighbors, the Dills, who had a dog trapped in a jar. By using their intelligence and kindness, the Sours were able to release the dog, and their hearts were transformed.

The Pickles of Pickleton is a charming and heartwarming story that teaches the importance of kindness, community, and acceptance. The book introduces the Dills family and their adventures in the town of Pickleton where even the most sour individuals can learn to embrace love and friendship. With clever wordplay and funny scenes, the story takes readers on a whimsical journey while offering valuable lessons about God's love. Bucleigh Newton Kernodle has done a great job of conveying the messages in this book and entertaining readers of all ages. The core theme of the transformative power of love will resonate with everyone and inspire positive change in the world. The cute and humorous illustrations perfectly complement the story and bring the characters to life. The consistent green theme is a clever choice that matches the pickles. I had a lot of fun reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone looking to add a delightful story to their children's reading collection.
