The Tales of Toby and Milo: A Story on Friendship & Adventure by Nicole Marshall takes us on the adventures of Henry their owner but from the perspective of the pets. The gang goes on a day trip to a mountain range on a whim and embarks on a hike. Kids can learn about the various animals they encounter on the hike. This story helps pique young readers' interest in exploring their natural curiosity in nature. This account of friendship inspires kids to confront their fears and step outside of their comfort zones. With a little help from your friends, anything is possible. Learn how Milo, together with his companions Toby and Max, overcomes his phobias on their journey.
The plot of The Adventures of Toby and Milo is very wholesome and supportive. The way Toby encourages Milo to be brave as they explore new things together is beautiful and a great example of true friendship. I enjoyed how Nicole Marshall made each animal speak via their natural sound and then interpreted their words. It helped set the pace of the adventure which flowed smoothly. The illustrations are very bold and detailed. I love there is a quiz at the end. This is an excellent way for young readers to recall information and talk more about the story. If you miss an answer, it's a great reason to read the story again. The activity provided helps create a moment of bonding and planning for your next adventure. I would recommend this to fans of animals, picture books, and adventure stories for children.
