After being diagnosed with a rare illness called Myxopapillary Ependymoma (MEPN) in 2021, A.H. Nazzareno started writing a tell-all memoir following major surgery, recounting his past experiences with the "villains" who did a number on his back. Nazzareno recalls how he met his future wife, a Boston girl, ten years ago, and while navigating credit card bills and student loans, the two started a family of their own. A self-proclaimed car and coffee aficionado, Nazzareno's own interests turned against him as he suffered from chronic back pain. In The Villains Who Snapped My Spine, the author lists the villains he believes made his condition worse. Whether driving an old accursed Lincoln or eating a suspicious cookie, digging a cat grave, or undergoing a cherry juice plan, Nazzareno leaves all behind to appreciate his new lease on life.

Drawing from his own personal experiences, author A.H. Nazzareno pens a humorous memoir that offers a fresh outlook for readers who may suffer from health conditions. The Villains Who Snapped My Spine is a delightful story of a man who comes to terms with the diagnosis of his rare illness in a most unusual manner. Containing some quirky anecdotes and laced with humor, the narrative is absorbing from start to finish, and I couldn't help chuckling out loud quite a few times. Nazzareno has an intimate and engaging writing style that keeps you glued to the pages. If you're looking for an inspirational memoir with some laughs in it, I highly recommend it.
