Tripi Takes Flight (The Amazing Adventures of Tripi The Fly) by Lori London is an adorable children's story about a little fly that is talented in many things, except the most important; he can't seem to figure out how to fly. Yes, little Tripi can talk, sing, and dance. He can even read. But the poor little fly can't master flying. He has tried so many times, and in different ways, but he can't do anything more than hop, flap, and fall! How is a fly that cannot fly to go on the many adventures that Tripi dreams of going on? How can he see the many places and fascinating lands that he has read about if he cannot make his wings work? Tripi decides to go to the library to read and finds something so great, so exciting that he can hardly contain himself. He has found his answer! Will Tripi, at last, learn how to fly? Or will he learn that he doesn't necessarily need his wings to explore the world?

Tripi Takes Flight (The Amazing Adventures of Tripi The Fly) by Lori London is a cute young children's audio book. The message is clear and the character, Tripi, is always optimistic. I loved the story! I just wish it was longer. I got quite attached to Tripi, and I wanted to see the world from his view. He may be a little fly, but he has big dreams. This book is great for teaching children that although one may not be able to master a skill in one area, if they stay positive and look at their other talents and abilities, they can still make their dreams come true. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing the little fly to life, and her reading was rhythmic and could easily be soothing to the over-stimulated child. This is a great audio book for children.
