Author Biography

When I first set out to write Two Moons of Merth, I wanted to portray women on a completely different backdrop than what we call reality. This made a fantasy novel located on another planet
just the right venue.

Through the lens of literature, we can explore the meaning of our reality with a fresh perspective. I hope you enjoy meeting , Poma, and their children Galen, Ali, and Roark as theytraverse a landscape of rich adventure.

Two Moons of Merth by Ruth C. Mitchell is an epic fantasy novel that tells the story of the Karda family. The narrative is rich with themes of joy, tragedy, and feminine power. The protagonist, Aadya, is a determined and resourceful character who always strives to provide for her family. Despite food not being her top priority, she always brings it home as a need. One day, while out hunting, she hears leaves rustling along the path and raises her bow in defense. To her surprise, she discovers that it is her friend Poma, who belongs to the same tribe as the Karda family. After his admission, Aadya’s perception of him suddenly shifts from a person who was a bit of a bungler to a taller, more enthusiastic, and more interesting individual. But to her astonishment, Poma has another secret she isn’t aware of. This revelation profoundly impacts Aadya but encourages her to pursue her goals with hope and ambition.

Ruth C. Mitchell’s storytelling is exceptional and insightful, as well as her character development. She represents the struggles female leaders undergo to become equal to their male counterparts. Aadya’s role is a powerful reminder of the challenges women encounter when advocating for leadership positions. This novel delves into “Kinetic Sight,” presenting it as more than intuition. The relationship between Aadya and Poma evolves from an awkward encounter to a romantic journey in which they become one. Love can solve some problems, but the storyline questions much more than its role in creating long-lasting bonds. Two Moons of Merth covers all the dynamics revolving around established monarchies. With all the suspense and drama, readers can expect more than just a simple love story.

I love fantasy and the fact that it takes me away from my world and plants me firmly in another. This book is truly an escape to a different world with all the problems and possibilities it presents our Aadya.
The prose is very insightful and descriptive of the characters and scenes. I enjoyed the way the relationship between Aadya and Poma evolved from their first encounter to their romance.
Ruth C. Mitchell tells a story full of challenges and women in leadership roles. It contains drama, and suspense for the reader.
