Understanding your Child’s and Teen’s Behavior: Simple Steps and Resources To Guide You Through The Journey by Angie Rumaldo is a useful tool for every parent who wants to create and direct the changes they need to make transitions in life. It will guide them to find answers to help their child and themselves by learning the cooperating arts of flexibility and patience without setting any time frame. The techniques and advice given by the author enable parents to develop a plan to help improve the lives of their children and that of the family. The book also advises what a parent can do to help improve their child’s academic performance and overall well-being. The book is helpful to parents as it will make them understand why their children are not performing as expected.

The author handles the topic with expertise. Being a licensed clinical psychologist, licensed nurse practitioner, and a mother of two girls, her experience shows when it comes to seeking answers about child and teenage behavior. The checklists after each chapter will help educate and empower parents to think and act in a strategic and targeted way. What I like most is the way the author has organized the chapters so that parents will be able to identify exactly the problems they are facing with their children. The book handles all the important topics about child and teen behavior, and this book can be used as a check list to see how far parents have come, what needs to be done, and what remains to be completed.
