Unholy Night (Psycho Thrill: Chilling Tales of Horror) by Timothy Stahl features young couple Adrian and Marie who are involved in a tram accident. Marie is heavily pregnant and when he finds her in the snow, Adrian is sure his wife is dead. When she gets up, seemingly unharmed, Marie begins to act violently. Adrian struggles to figure out the truth. A truth that leads him to her home village in the mountains and a horrible secret hiding underneath the local church. Monsters lurk in the snow. What drove Marie's mother to leave after her husband died twenty-five years ago? And does the village hold a cure for Marie?

Timothy Stahl has created an intriguing story in Unholy Night (Psycho Thrill: Chilling Tales of Horror). It's portrayed as a story found in an old journal, but there's always the chance it is true. The story drew me in and I really enjoyed it. I could see this as a movie. The only issues I had were one or two spelling errors which are easily fixed, and when the big reveal came, I thought it could have been a little bit clearer as to what was going on. I was a bit confused until the end as to what was keeping them alive. There were elements of things like Legion and Constantine included here with a Christian back story. Overall, though, it was a enjoyable tale that I think will do well with horror fans.
