Meagan Jeffrey reaches out to readers with her incredible voice and unique expressions in her new collection, Untouchable Words – Poetry Volume 2. Bordering around emotions like pain, sorrow, love, joy, heartache and humor, the author finds a comfortable space with readers with her beautiful writing. The author’s words are heartfelt and emotional and the poetic movements reveal vulnerability and a human element, making them palpable while reading. All the poems are enjoyable and revolve around worthy topics. The poet’s internal experiences and observations are evident in the images in the poems. All the images are conceptualized well, making it clear to readers.

The poet’s fluid writing style makes the poems flow easily with natural rhythms that don’t sound forced. The poem written for her mother, ‘Wasn’t ready to let you go’ is touching and heart-rending. The pictures before each poem complement the poet’s words. The style of writing and formatting of the poem, ‘Want more’ is original and unique and also visually stimulating. The poems in the collection have different images and the poet leaves interpretation open to readers. The heartfelt and compassionate vibe in the author’s voice is personal and will touch the hearts of readers. The insights into human emotions in the poems are relatable and every poem reminds readers of that. There is gentleness in the poet’s way with words and though the language is subtle, the vigor and feeling are tangible.

Meagan Jeffrey returns with the second volume of Untouchable Words. The first volume was poetry and song lyrics that touched on the raw emotions that we all feel. This second volume does the same thing and introduces some newer topics (vampires, anyone?) that add sometimes humor and sometimes very serious vibes to the collection. You can start at the first volume or pick it up here. Either way, you're in for a treat.

One thing is for sure: Meagan is back and better than ever! It seems that in this second volume she has finally found her voice and the pieces are much more polished and refined. And what I really liked was that the much needed humorous pieces were added in this one; it gave a lighter feel when some of the pain and sorrow described in other pieces can really bring you down. We still get all the same romance, heartache, and joy that the first collection brought us, but Untouchable Words Volume 2 steps up the game. And the writing is still just as beautiful and real and heart felt.

Meagan has an amazing gift at the craft of poetry and lyrics and it really shines through. I want to see some varying of rhythm in the pieces and maybe vary some rhyming choices, but a wonderful job, overall. And something else that I really liked is that you can easily start your reading here and not feel like you got lost. The poet reintroduces herself to us and, in some ways, she feels like a different person which is a cool thing to see, watching her grow up in words. A wonderful, magnificent job!

I loved the emotion put into these poems. The poet shares her innermost self with the reader. I give this collection 5 stars
