We Will Go A-Walking by Regina Puckett is a wonderful book that takes readers on a journey through the different stages of life from the age of one when they are on unsteady legs till they are ninety-nine and are once again wobbling on unsteady legs. The different stages of life are chronicled beautifully, making readers aware of the various steps they take in life as they move forward. Whether the child is two and running around in the house or turning five and heading off for the first day at school or playing with their first soccer ball at the age of ten, the book captures the stages of life and the importance of every step that is taken and makes them tangible for young readers.

The author's approach to the topic is unique and fresh, making readers look at the different stages of life from a new perspective. The illustrations are colorful and lively and they give clarity to the concept and make the book appealing. Life comes full circle and this book is a good way to help children understand the stages of life and how each step they take makes a difference in their lives, from being an infant to an older person. We Will Go A-Walking by Regina Puckett is a good book for storytelling and read-aloud sessions both at schools and in homes to help children see the different stages of life they go through as they grow up in a fun and interactive way.
